HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

President's Message
Well, the hustle and bustle of Christmas is over, the refrigerator is filled with left-overs, and I just put my feet up to do nothing……..HA!!!! I decided to first check email and learned that the FF president’s message for the newsletter is due. Yikes! That’s me!!
So my first official job is to send wishes for a good and prosperous new year to all of our San Diego Friendship Force members. We can look forward to a productive year for our club because of the great groundwork that was started last year.
Fortunately, I live with the past president so I have someone to lean on/prod me to move on. Also, I’m grateful that someone as capable as Nancy Alongi as vice president has my back. This past year, I was made aware of all that Roger Walsh does as “Exchange Coordinator” and am sooooo thankful that he will continue in this area. It is surely a blessing that Lily Banales has offered to be chairperson of a Legacy fundraiser. I know what Lily can accomplish and that she gets results!
We ended the year 2011 at our Holiday Party on December 17. Diane Green deserves kudos for organizing food and making Joyce Beers Center look so festive.
All of the dishes were delicious and no one left hungry.
We all enjoyed the sharing of holiday stories.
Thank you, Diane!
Also thanks to Roger and Nancy Walsh
for delivering our gifts to the Alpha Project.
The New Year 2012 is just beginning.
Read the newsletter and then hold on to your seats.
It is going to be quite a ride!
Kathy Brown
President 2012
